Inbound Marketing is about content marketing and one of the best forms of content is the Blog. But how do you get your prospects to subscribe to your blog?

The purpose of this blog is to provide practical solutions that you can implement today to start to build blog subscribers from people within your target audience.


Who’s influential in your industry?

  • Create blog articles that list them, link to them and start to build a rapport with them.

Where do your prospects hang out? Is it Linked In or Facebook? Or a particular Linked In group?

  • Take the time to monitor conversations on the different social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook and Linked In. You can use Google Alerts to monitor keywords, companies and brands, or the Hubspot Social Media Tool.
  • Take the time to engage in these conversations, comment, answer questions, connect with them.
  • Blog about the topics they’re talking about, they’re interested in or questions they have.

Ask readers to subscribe.

  • Make sure you have a CTA (call to action) on your blog that allows readers to subscribe via email or RSS.

Do you have traffic going to your website?

  • Link from your web pages to blog articles you’ve written on related topics.

Make your topics interesting

  • What’s ‘hot’ at the moment, events, trends, news
  • Think about unusual uses for your product that would be entertaining
  • Use keywords that your prospects use
  • Use numbers,  10 Ways To…
